President watches Andrzej Wajda’s new film
He thanked to Polish colleagues for filming a part of Ukrainian history
President Victor Yushchenko together with Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko attended a premiere of Andrzej Wajda’s new film named Khatyn which was shown in Kyiv within the framework of Days of Polish cinema.
According to the President`s press-office, in his address to those present Victor Yushchenko expressed gratitude to Andrzej Wajda and all his Polish colleagues for filming a part of our history. He also presented the director of the film with an Order of Yaroslav the Wise.
Other attendants of the event were Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko, deputy Presidential Secretariat Chief of Staff Yuriy Bohutsky, director of Ukrainian Cinema Foundation Andriy Khalpakhchi. Among the guests from Poland were Minister for Culture Bogdan Zdrojewski and Ambassador of Poland to Ukraine Jacek Kluczkowski.
