Two girls taken to hospital
The Kyiv police have brought a criminal case on the fact of explosion in the center of Kyiv Monday evening.
According to the Interior Ministry`s press-service, the explosion took place in Shevchenko part at around 19.10. Its capacity was up to 100 gm in TNT equivalent.
Two girls - students of the Taras Shevchenko University, who were walking in the park, were slightly injured in their hands and legs with chips from a near-by wooden bench, the press-service reports. Both the girls were taken to Kyiv hospitals.
One of the injured students was discharged from hospital in the morning on Tuesday after she was rendered the necessary medical aid.
6 windows in three apartments of a buildings at the Tereshenskaya Street were damaged with the blast wave.
The case is under investigation of police.
