President Victor Yushchenko held a meeting with Naftogaz of Ukraine head Oleh Dubyna, according to the President`s press-office.
During the meeting President noted stabilization of the situation at Ukrainian gas market particularly due to adoption of the company’s deficit-free and well balanced financial plan for 2008.
Pointing to issues requiring attention Victor Yushchenko stressed importance of introducing modifications to 2008 state budget in the part where it regulates compensations to Naftogaz of Ukraine of gas buying and selling prices difference.
Separately President dwelled on the problem of absence of proper gas supply agreements for 2009. He reminded that the Government failed to form a working group on holding talks with Central Asian countries as well as with Gazprom on gas supplies and transit before May 1.
