Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko claims that the government managed to bring down the inflation and prices.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Yulia Tymoshenko claimed this at a session of the Cabinet of Ministers today.
“A significant reduction of the inflation growth rates was recorded in April. The prices on more than 20 food products began to go down, and, as of today, we have recorded deflation showings”, the Prime Minister added.
Yulia Tymoshenko once again stressed that the government will achieve a significant reduction of the inflation levels in the first half of the current year.
“In June we will have absolutely positive tendencies and positive dynamics”, she noted.
As UNIAN reported earlier, today Ukrainian Economics Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn claimed that the inflation in April made up 3.1%.
