The Holiday of Halushka (Ukrainian dumpling) will take place in Poltava on June 8.
Poltava City Executive Committee spokesman Victor Kikot disclosed this to UNIAN. “The holiday will be more interesting than last year. Organizers promise to make a halushka of gigantic size. It will be the biggest and the heaviest in the world”, said V.Kikot. Moreover, guests of the holiday will be treated with dumplings with meat, buckwheat, cottage cheese and sour cream. The holiday program will include contests on cooking the tastiest dumpling, entertainment programs with the participation of creative collectives, and performances basing on novels by Mykola Gogol and Ivan Kotlyarevskyi.
