ICRC sends 560 tonnes of humanitarian food, hygiene goods to occupied Donbas

The Ukrainian Border Service on Saturday handled 560 tonnes of humanitarian aid from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and allowed it to enter temporarily occupied territory in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, according to the State Border Service's press service.

Thirty-one trucks with the international aid entered the uncontrolled territory across the refurbished Novotroyitske checkpoint in Volnovakha district, Donetsk region.

The ICRC's humanitarian aid, which is heading from Kyiv to Donetsk's residents, includes food, construction materials, personal hygiene products and other essentials, the State Border Service said.
