Ukraine is planning to conduct an experimental delivery of 40,000 tons of light, domestic oil along the Odesa-Brody pipeline, then via Slovakia to the refinery at Kralupy in the Czech Republic, according to Oil&Gas Journal.

The experiment will help specify some "technological and economic parameters of the batching or "separate pumping" in one pipe of different brands of oil, with their specificities preserved," according to Bohdan Sokolovskyi, a Ukrainian government spokesman.

Sokolovsky said a contract was drafted for delivering a trial bath of 40,000 tons of light oil of Ukrainian origin in "the near future."
