President of Ukraine opens Energy Summit in Kyiv
He proposed four topics for discussion
President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko has opened the Energy Summit in Kyiv.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Victor Yushchenko proposed four topics for discussion: about implementation of agreements, reached at previous summits, in particular, concerning the project of the Eurasian oil-transport corridor on the basis of Odessa-Brody oil pipeline; about a national strategy and projects in the sphere of energy security; about creating a Black-Sea-Caspian energy space; and about the EU energy security policy.
Victor Yushchenko informed that three documents were prepared for signing.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus, President of Poland Lech Kaczynski, President of Estonia Hendrik Ilves and President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers take part in the Summit.
