Government not obliged to account to Verkhovna Rada - press-office

Government is not obliged to account to the Verkhovna Rada for policy line, according to the statement of the government’s press-office, posted at its web site.

According to the statement, in accordance with the Article 99 of the Constitution of Ukraine, ensuring stability of monetary unit is the main function of the National Bank of Ukraine. It results from this that formation of the policy line covers the National Bank`s terms of reference.
