Brigade generals will appear in Ukrainian army

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the first reading a draft law on gradation of military ranks in the Ukrainian army.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, 376 members of parliament, out of 446 registered in the chamber, voted for the respective draft law “On Introducing Amendments into Law of Ukraine “On Military Duty and Military Service”.

The draft law stipulates introducing ranks of brigade general and captain-commander in the Naval Forces of Ukraine.

It is also planned to broaden the list of categories of citizens who may enlist to serve on contract in the Ukrainian army.
