During a session of the Government Committee on legal policy, defense and law-enforcement activity chaired by First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “Some issues on pursuance of the public anti-corruption policy” has been approved, according to the government’s press-office. The adoption of the resolution aims at introduction in the Cabinet of Ministers of a post of Government commissioner for anti-corruption policy for ensuring common approaches to the formation and pursuance of anti-corruption policy. During the discussion Oleksandr Turchynov stressed that overcoming corruption is one of the most priority tasks of the state. “Corruption is to be fought twenty-four hours a day,” the First Vice Prime Minister emphasized.

The session also saw approval of the draft law “On National program on stopping exploitation of the Chornobyl NNP and transformation of the “Ukryttya” (Shelter) object into ecologically safe system”. The National program’s adoption aims at suspending the exploitation of the Chornobyl NNP and transformation of the “Ukryttya” (Shelter) object into ecologically safe system.
