Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, opening a Gov’t sitting informed that due to efficient work of the Cabinet of Ministers there is a chance to increase budget expenditures: “During the first five months of its work the Government yielded an excellent economic growth. Today we have positive GDP growth rate, influx of investments, increase in tax and customs duty receipts because of implementation of the “Contraband –STOP!” program. According to her, owning to three factors - economic growth, powerful investments and economy`s deshadowization Ukraine can count on extra UAH 20 billion of budget revenues, the government’s press-office reports.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko told that after adopting the Law on specifying the State Budget revenues, the situation with the key financial document of the state would be completely regulated. Now, according to her, the Government can prepare amendments and additions to the 2008 State Budget of Ukraine. “The Budget works in a proper way and today we take no risks with the exception of blocking the privatization and revenues from it,” the PM of Ukraine stressed.
According to her, from today the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine launches consultations with all ministries concerning amendments and additions to the 2008 State Budget. At that Yulia Tymoshenko urged officials to close cooperation with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine while drafting amendments to the 2008 State Budget.
Moreover, she informed that simultaneously the Government initiates the preparation of a Budget resolution for 2009. The Ukrainian PM noted that the budget for the following year would be formed on the basis of new approaches to inter-budget relations, budget expenditures (taking into consideration the target programs), change of payment of wages in budget institutions, service payment.
