Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko stressed that today one of the Government’s top priorities is ensuring transparency in its activity and improving the investment climate. She stated during the meeting with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez, according to the government’s press-office.
In the course of negotiations the sides have discussed issues on bilateral collaboration in trade-economic cooperation.
In particular, Yulia Tymoshenko thanked the U.S. Government for Ukraine’s support towards accession to the World Trade Organization. According to her, “the WTO accession opens for Ukraine new prospects in the process of integration to the world economic community”.
At the same time Carlos Gutierrez noted, “We consider that Your strategic vision of Ukraine towards integration to Europe is correct and responsible”.
