Portnov withdraws his candidacy from post of State Property Fund chief
For the sake of coalition unity
BYuT faction lawmaker Andriy Portnov claims that he withdrew his candidacy from the post of the State Property Fund of Ukraine chief for the sake of coalition unity, and in order to speed up solving the problem of the SPFU leadership.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, he disclosed this to journalists today.
The lawmaker stressed that the OU-PSD faction had stated that it will vote for dismissal of Valentyna Semeniuk-Samsonenko from the post of the SPFU chief, if BYuT withdraws the candidacy of A.Portnov.
“Withdrawing my candidacy, I give my colleagues in the coalition an opportunity to fulfill coalition agreements, and to vote for rotation of the staff in the State Property Fund”, the lawmaker said.
At the same time, A.Portnov noted he does not refuse his criticism of activities of the Ukrainian President. “I will not give up my beliefs for any posts”, he said.
The BYuT faction will press that the parliament vote for dismissal of V.Semenyuk-Samsonenko namely today, he said.
Asked whether another candidacy was already chosen for the post of the SPFU chief, the MP said this is a question to the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
