As of the 31st of July, 17.7 mln tonnes of grain had been milled in Ukraine. The average yield totals 2.6 tonnes per hectare. Spring grains and legumes had been mowed down on 7 mln ha area (58% from the forecast), threshed - on 6.82 mln ha area. It was informed in the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine referring to the operative data, according to APK-Inform.
Wheat has been mowed down on 3.68 mln ha area (66%), threshed on 3.56 mln ha. Wheat harvest has totaled 9.9 mln tonnes, average yield - 2.78 tonnes per hectare. Barley has been mowed on 3 mln ha area (57%), threshed on 2.88 mln ha. 6.88 mln tonnes of grain have been milled, average yield - 2.39 tonnes per hectare.
To date, peas have been mowed down on 273.000 ha area (8-% from the forecast), 257.000 ha area has been threshed. Harvest totals 559.000 tonnes, average yield - 2.2 tonnes per hectare.
Rape has been mowed down on 256.000 ha (62%). 253.000 ha area has been threshed. Rape harvest has totaled 441.000 tonnes, average yield - 1.75 tonnes per hectare.
Preparing of soil under winter crops sowing for the harvest-2007 is continuing in the country. As of July, 31, 3.59 mln ha area had been prepared (48% from the forecast).
