Despite of the “Damocles sword” of dismissal from the post of the State Property Fund chief, hanging over the head of Valentyna Semenyuk-Samsonenko, she is not very concerned about that, Segodnya daily reports. She went on leave since June 4 (in line with the Ukrainian legislation, an employee cannot be dismissed if he/she is on vacation). She spends her vacation in one of the most luxurious Turkish hotels – Sungate Port Royal, not far from Antalia airport.

Journalists managed to call V.Semenyuk-Samsonenko by telephone. It appeared that the State Property Fund head decided to combine her vacation with a honey moon. She married businessman Vitaliy Samsonenko as early as in January of the current year, but did not have time for resorts due to the tense political situation in Ukraine.
“I went on leave, and, at first, underwent a medical examination”, Mrs.Semeniuk said to journalists, adding that she really spent several days in a hospital. According to her, doctors advised her to swim, and her husband recalled that they missed their honey moon. “So, we decided to go to Turkey for a week. I have never been there before”, V.Semenyuk-Samsonenko said.

It appeared that this vacation was for V.Semenyuk-Samsonenko the first over the last 5 years. “I may say that it is the first time when I went abroad for a vacation, and not on a business trip. Moreover, I did not know that the parliament was going to raise the issue of my dismissal namely that time”, the SPFU head said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, last Thursday the coalition planned to dismiss Valentyna Semenyuk-Samsonenko from the post of head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. However, the parliament failed to sack V.Semenyuk-Samsonenko due to her absence. At first Speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk planned to recall her from vacation, but the Party of Regions hampered him by blocking the parliamentary rostrum and demanding to listen to her report.
