President opens AGRO-2008 exhibition

President Victor Yushchenko took part in an opening of the 20th International Agricultural Exhibition-Fair "AGRO-2008, according to the President`s press-office.

Speaking at the event President Yushchenko said: “Nowadays we see agrarian Ukraine, which has always been known to the world as grain basket of Europe, is returning to the market”.

He also noted positive state of affairs at world’s agricultural goods market, which according to him should be made use of by national agricultural producers. “In agricultural sector we have a unique opportunity to raise profitability and effectiveness”, - he said.
