Together with his wife Kateryna Yushchenko, President Victor Yushchenko visited a Portuguese town of Fátima, famous for the religious visions that took place there in 1917, according to the President`s press-office.
In the town the presidential couple visited the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima where three shepherd children, believed to have seen Virgin Mary, are buried. They also saw the Chapel of Apparitions, where Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima is placed as well as the new Church of the Holy Trinity built in 2007.
