Criminal case is brought against Kernes
Prosecutor of the Kharkiv Oblast Vassyl Sinchuk brought a criminal case against Secretary of Kharkiv City Council Gennadiy Kernes because of hooliganism (part 1, article 296 of Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Oblast disclosed to an UNIAN correspondent that the case is brought as a result of checking the statements of deputy of the City Council Andriy Rudenko and his assistant- consultant Svetvana Semko.

According to information of the press service, on June 20, being at the premises of the Kharkiv City Council, G. Kernes in  presence of big number of people, “ with special impudence, using obscene words, pushed Svetvana Semko, as a result of this she struck against the wall with her head”. As a result of the actions of G. Kernes S. Semko received “bodily injuries”, is noted in the report.

Moreover, G. Kernes “delivered a blow” by his leg to knee and waist to deputy of the City Council, so the last one received the bodily injuries”.

The representatives of the press service  said that the carrying out of the pre-trial investigation concerning the criminal case is instructed to the investigation department of Kharkiv City Department of the Directorate of the Interior Ministry.
