Ms.Pamfilova said Sentsov and Kolchenko must be tried as Ukrainians, since this entitles Kyiv to demand their extradition from Russia. Russia are due to respond to the request next month April, according to Ukraine Today.

Sentsov is currently being kept in Yakutsk, northern Russia. Whereas Kolchenko has been transferred to the Kopeysk colony, close to Chelyabinsk.
