48 children evacuated from resort camp

Due to heavy downpours, 48 children were evacuated from Oykos resort camp in the Vyzhnytskiy district of the Chernivtsi Oblast on Friday.

UNIAN was informed about this by Natalia Kotsur, chief of the youth and family issues department of the Chernivtsi City Council.

“Rains and torrents have restricted approaches to the children resort camp, and washed away a bridge to the camp”, she said.

According to N.Kotsur, the evacuated children are pupils of two Chernivtsi schools.

Vyzhnytsia rescuers conveyed the children to Berehomet town, and later they will be conveyed to Chernivtsi.

N.Kotsur also informed that all the children are healthy and want to resume their rest in Oykos as soon as the weather conditions improve.
