The BYuT faction has turned to Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk with a proposal to call up an extraordinary session of parliament to introduce amendments into the state budget considering the natural disaster in the western regions of Ukraine.
According to the faction’s statement, forwarded to UNIAN, the amendments are been worked out by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The statement reads that BYuT has already collected the necessary 155 signatures of Members of Parliament to call up an extraordinary session.
“The natural disaster that has hit the western regions of our state needs an urgent consolidation of all power branches for quicker overcoming the consequences. By preliminary estimates, the country’s losses from the disaster will make several billions hryvnias”, the statement reads.
