The State Customer Standard Agency canceled a decree on introducing since August 1 new standards for production of sausages in Ukraine. The new standards strictly regulate the quantity of meat in sausages of different kinds, Deputy Economics Minister of Ukraine Andriy Blyzniuk told UNIAN.
According to the Deputy Minister, new standards for sausages will be introduced in Ukraine in April of the year 2009.
Explaining reasons of this decision, A.Blyzniuk said that at present producers are not ready to introduce the new standards.
Besides, in his opinion, consumers will hardly be glad to buy a new product, which, by new rules, will not include those ingredients and food additives that used to form the original taste of a sausage. In particular, by new rules, a sausage of superior quality must include 100% of meat, which may influence its taste.
