President mourns blast victims

Victor Yushchenko has offered sympathy to relatives of miners that were killed and injured in an August 13 underground blast in the Sukhodolska-Skidna mine in Lugansk oblast. He urged the local authorities to help the victims and their families, according to the President’s press-office.

      “I condole with you together with all Ukrainians. I ask you to present my heartfelt condolences to the families of the dead and also wish the injured a fast recovery,” he wrote.
