Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has forecast that purchasing prices for grain will soon stabilize, according to the government’s press-office.

During a briefing in Dnipropetrovsk region on Friday, she expressed confidence that "it will soon be possible to return normal grain prices and de-monopolize the market."

Tymoshenko said that the government is planning to buy third class grain in villages at a price of UAH 1,251 per ton (USD 1 / UAH 4.845). The purchasing price for other classes of grain will be then set taking into account this figure.
