Russian Minister wants to resume import of Ukrainian fat
"This potential should be resumed..."
According to an UNIAN correspondent, A.Gordeyev claimed this to a press conference within frames of “All-Ukrainian Field Day-2008” in Mayske village of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
“Speaking about traditional products historically supplied to Russia by Ukraine – this potential should be resumed, with replacing the import from distant foreign lands. For instance, it is sugar, forage, we may speak even about meat – as of today, we import more than million tons of poultry meat, and practically nothing is imported from Ukraine. Probably, it would much more efficient to develop such supplies, considering the perspective of our relations with Ukraine”, the Minister said.
He also noted the two countries should collaborate closer in the sphere of agricultural science, education, and genetics.
