The Government has endorsed the General plan on liquidation of flood consequences and prevention of such events in the future. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko told a press conference today, according to the government’s press-office.
Yulia Tymoshenko noted that this plan envisages object planning of roads, dams, bridges, houses, schools, hospitals which had been damaged. According to the PM, the plan sets out a general contractor for restoration of these objects and cost of recovery work and commission deadline of an object. “Today we have a fundamental plan on overcoming the natural disaster and what is the most important – prevention of any other such destructive events,” the Head of Government noted.
Besides, Yulia Tymoshenko told that the endorsed Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers which envisages subject actions of the Government concerning strengthening and building of dams, coast-protecting systems, dry reservoirs, special river outlets. According to Yulia Tymoshenko, the Resolution provides for the warning system and system of informing the citizens about actions in case of a flood.
