Victor Yushchenko has visited the National Institute of Grapes and Wine in Yalta to discuss prospects of Ukraine’s wine-making industry and viniculture, and ways to cultivate new varieties of grape, according to the President’s press-office.

The NIGW head requested him to help prevent the illegal use of their lands by the local authorities. Mr. Yushchenko commissioned Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko, Security Chief Ihor Drizhchany and Crimean Prosecutor Viktor Shemchuk to resolve the problem within thirty days.
