Russians block 48 Ukrainian sailors in Georgian port of Poti

The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine is discussing with the Russian side the issue of return of Ukrainian civil ships blocked in the Georgian ports in the Black Sea.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Kostayntyn Yeliseyev claimed this to a news conference in Kyiv today.

According to him, in particular, a big Ukrainian ferry with 48 crew members on board was blocked in the Georgian port of Poti. The ferry arrived in Poti before the military conflict, and at present it cannot return to its domestic port of Illichevsk (Ukraine) because the Black Sea water area was blocked by ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

“We are working with the Russian side to avoid such blockades”, K.Yeliseyev said.
