So, it can’t pull out of this organization

Ukraine cannot pull out of CIS as it is not a member of this organization.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, deputy President’s Chief of Staff Andriy Honcharuk claimed this to a press conference on Wednesday.

“I may reassure you: Ukraine has not pulled out of CIS today”, he said.

He recalled that Ukraine did not join the basic agreement on creating the Commonwealth of Independent States, and takes part in the work of this organization only in spheres that are advantageous for the country. At the same time, he stressed that the lion’s share of these spheres fall on economics.

At the same time, according to A.Honcharuk, the issue of expediency of this collaboration with CIS is on agenda.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on Tuesday, Georgia made decision to pull out of CIS, and called on Ukraine to follow its example.
