The movement of trucks has been banned in Kyiv due to the extremely hot weather.
UNIAN was informed about this at the press-service of the Kyiv City State Administration, referring to the information of Kyivavtodor communal enterprise.
“Due to the hot weather that is expected to continue in Kyiv at the level of more than +28 Celsius degrees, the movement of trucks over 24 tons by weight... was forbidden in all streets of the city”, the statement reads.
The implementation of the measure is supervised by city traffic police.
According to the Kyiv City State Administration, the movement of heavy trucks in the streets in the hot weather period damages the asphalt cover and creates negative conditions for movement of all traffic participants.
The Kyiv City State Administration and Kyivavtodor ask haulers to treat this problem with understanding.
