Tymoshenko’s spokes person plays down statements about her support of Georgia
Ohryzko says she is right
Foreign Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Ohryzko claims that Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko does not make any official statements about the situation in Georgia because it is up to the President to supervise the foreign policy of the country.
He said this in the air of TV 5 Kanal on Thursday evening.
“In line with the Constitution, the foreign political activities are carried out by the President of Ukraine”, V.Ohryzko claimed.
At the same time, the television listed the statement of Yulia Tymoshenko’s spokes person Maryna Soroka, who played down the statement of Deputy Prime Minister Hryhoriy Nemyrya about Tymoshenko’s solidarity with the Georgian leadership, which he issued on Thursday on behalf of Yulia Tymoshenko.
“The Prime Minister has not expressed her stance concerning the Caucasian conflict. I have no information about that. In case if there appears any comment, it will be posted at the governmental web portal”, TV 5 Kanal cites M.Soroka as saying.
