The lineup was the result of the 'Italian strike' by Polish customs officers, protesting against the reform of their agency, Ukraine Today reports.

According to the press office of Ukraine's Customs Service, about 300 vehicles piled up at the crossing points of Rava-Ruska and Krakivets, another 250 cars near Yahodyn-Avto, 220 – at Uhryniv, and another 170 – at Shehyni in Ukraine's western Volyn and Lviv regions.

The rally is expected to last for about two weeks so drivers are advised to consider this information while planning their routes or to temporarily avoid travels to Poland.

The record number of 2,000 vehicles in line was registered at the Ukrainian-Polish border on Wednesday.
