President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko demands PM of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko to immediately return from vacation.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, President’s Press Secretary Iryna Vannikova claimed this to a briefing today.
According to her, the President also demands to hold an extraordinary session of government no later than on August 19, to make all the necessary decisions to organize work in the disaster-hit regions.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers is due to revise amounts stipulated as remuneration for building houses and to secure readiness of all school to the new academic year.
Victor Yushchenko stressed that the government must restore houses for residents of the disaster-hit regions by October, and to restore damaged highways, bridges and dams by November 15.
“The President asks the Prime Minister to inform him personally on the measures fulfilled till August 20”, the President’s Press Secretary said.
