Sevastopol City Council head Valeriy Saratov calls unfounded the allegations that many local residents have both Ukrainian and Russian passports.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he claimed this to a press conference in Sevastopol on Tuesday.

“You should not speak if you don’t have information. As of today, of course, nobody has exact information, but I may assume that several thousand people here have Russian citizenship”, he said.

Acording to V.Saratov, “this fact is connected with the moment when the Ukrainian and Russian states were established, when systems were not working well, and people, who served in the Russian fleet and retired on pension, had a real opportunity to get a Russian passport. And that’s all”.
