First Deputy Head of the SOE Zahidukrgeologiya of NJSC Nadra of Ukraine of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine Ministry at the Ecology Ministry was arrested as he was receiving a UAH 1.5 million of undue advantage in Lviv.
According to Arsen Avakov, the official has demanded that a representative of a legal entity pay UAH 3 million of an unofficial fee to get assistance in agreeing the papers concerning a gas field with a following issuance of a special permit for subsoil use.

The economy prevention unit of the National Police Department in Lviv region and the regional prosecutor’s office were the agencies behind the raid.
The investigation is under way.
