Yushchenko asks US to assist putting Holodomor issue on UN agenda

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko has turned to the USA with a request to assist putting on agenda of the 63rd session of UN the issue of recognizing Holodomor of 1932-33 in Ukraine as a genocide.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Victor Yushchenko claimed this at a meeting with U.S. Vice President Richard Cheney in Kyiv on Friday.
