President Victor Yushchenko took part in festive gathering arranged on the occasion of Oil and Gas Industry Worker’s Day, according to the President`s press-office. “We are honoring today the unique work for any economy of the world. You produce goods that is often and rightfully called the bread of industry…”, - said Victor Yushchenko greeting those present.
“That is why as a President I have always been and will be granting primary attention to oil and gas industry”, - he added.
President also spoke of importance of the industry for Ukrainian economy particularly in development of energy independence of our state and diversification of energy resources’ sources.
He also expressed assurance that energy industry in Ukraine has a bright future because of its strong scientific base, human resources and international importance.
After his speech President presented national awards to the workers of oil and gas industry of Ukraine.
