Bees deprived of escort, Yushchenko - not

Amendments into the road rules have been adopted by the State Motor Licensing Department of Ukraine.

Top deputy head of the Department Serhiy Levchenko claimed this at a press conference in UNIAN.

“The amendments do not influence the escort of state officials, who have a right on escort”, S.Levchenko said. However, he disclosed that, in line with the new rules, trailers transporting bees in hives will not be escorted by traffic police any more. “Beehives fall into category of out-of-gauge cargo now, and the permit on their transportation must be received in line with the respective procedure”, S.Levchenko said to journalists.
