Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko proposes to draw up a schedule of reducing oil product prices in Ukraine.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, she claimed this at a meeting with representatives of oil-extracting and refining companies of Ukraine.

Yulia Tymoshenko expressed a regret that, as of today, rates of oil prices reduction in Ukraine do not correspond at all to the rates of world oil prices reduction, which has fallen by more than twice since June.

According the Prime Minister, diesel fuel prices must make in Ukraine, as of today, UAH 3.5, and A-95 petrol price must exceed just a little UAH 3, while at present these prices make UAH 6 and 5.2 respectively.

“I can’t understand why this situation takes place at present. Why our oil refineries are overloaded with oil, and why the oil products price has hit the level that can’t be explained neither by the government nor by citizens”, Yulia Tymoshenko said. The Prime Minister surmised that the Anti-Monopoly Committee does not take sufficient measures to stabilize the situation with prices.

"Over the last years, Ukraine has been stuffed with monopolies as a Christmas duck with apples... We have to state once again that it is a monopoly, and prices do not slow down because they do not give a damn about any laws, any world conjuncture, any relations with power structures... Thus, we come to conclusion that the Anti-Monopoly Committee does not apply all tools it has",Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
