The hryvnia exchange rate will make not less 6 hryvnias for 1 US dollar till end of year.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, central bank head of Ukraine Volodymyr Stelmakh claimed this to a press conference today.
He stressed that, as of today, the average annual hryvnia exchange rate makes UAH 4.93 for $1.
According to him, economic objects planned their activities basing on the average annual hryvnia exchange rate at UAH 5.10/USD 1.
“We will try to keep the average annual exchange rate at UAH5.10/USD 1, however, it is evident that the nominal exchange rate will be lower”, V.Stelmakh said.
In addition, the central bank head claimed that the bank’s actions will be aimed at stopping the practice of forming three-four currency exchange rates in Ukraine. Thus, as of today, there are four exchange rates – the official hryvnia exchange rate, the hryvnia exchange rates formed at the inter-bank and cash currency market, and the rate by which the central bank carries out its currency transactions.
V.Stelmakh noted it is necessary to do everything to establish a single hryvnia exchange rate in the country.
