The Ukrainian central bank on Tuesday offered to trade dollars at 5.78-5.82 hryvnias, euros at 7.41-7.46 hryvnias and, for the first time, pounds at 9.3/9.36, according to central bank data provided to Reuters.
The central bank has been intervening every day for more than two weeks to pick the hryvnia up from a historic low reached last week of 7.0/7.2 to the dollar. On Tuesday, it was quoted at 5.84-5.87.
The bank this week began offering buy-sell rates for foreign currencies after previously intervening through only selling or buying a currency.
