Yushchenko calls on government to stop supporting importers

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko calls on the government to stop supporting importers and to focus more on supporting Ukrainian exporters.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Victor Yushchenko claimed this at a meeting with Finance Minister Victor Pinzenyk and Economics Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn in the Presidential Secretariat on Wednesday.

According to the President, the gap between the export and import has become dangerous since the first quarter of the current year.

“We have enough supported the import, we must offer more high-quality support to exporters”, he noted.

Victor Yushchenko stressed that the current trends should be seriously changed.
