Liya Akhedzhakova, famous Russian actress, interrupted the final applause and left the stage without even taking flowers during “Persian Lilac” performance in the Lviv National Opera and Ballet Theater, as a sign of protest against the behavior of audience. According ZIK, Lviv has not seen such a disgrace since a long time. During the performance, mobile telephones were ringing here and there, a man with no hang-ups was explaining somebody by phone “what the hell” he was doing in opera. Doors were banging and people coming in and out over and over again, like in a village pub.

“It was not the first time that I visited my beloved Lviv. But today it was the hardest time for me to play. Slamming doors, ringing mobiles, talks and noise… It’s painful and I feel very bitter”, Liya Akhedzhakova claimed after the performance. “An artist at the stage is alone and defenseless. You may shoot him when he’s on the stage. He may be killed. You killed us today with your behavior. And I’m hurt that it happened in my dear Lviv. Please, don’t do so any more”, said people’s actress Liya Akhedzhakova, interrupting with these words the final applause after “Persian Lilac” performance on November 17. She did not take the flowers and left the stage.
