Ukrainians have not adjusted their expenses to the crisis period as yet, they will begin to save up on foodstuffs after the New Year holidays. Maria Kolesnyk, analytic department head of AAA consulting agency, said this to UNIAN.

According to her, the Ukrainian food industry has not suffered much from the world financing crisis, and the demand for foodstuffs has not shrank.

In the opinion of M.Kolesnyk, Ukrainians have not realized that the crisis may last for a long period of time, and have not reduced their expenses. The situation will change in the new year, the expert said. The population will hardly see a perspective of income growth considering the economic decline, and, consequently, will begin reducing expenses, in particular, on foodstuffs.
