The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine offers to include sunflower seed in the list of the goods of the state price regulation for 2008/09 MY. The bill of the Ministry Cabinet, based on the site of the Ministry, contains the mentioned measures, according to APK-Inform.
According to the authors of the document, the measures are caused by unfavorable price situation on Ukrainian market of sunseed, especially by sudden decrease of purchasing prices. That is why, agricultural growers will even lose their profits and reduce sunflower sowing areas, noticed the representatives of the Ministry.
It is supposed that the introduction of sunseed in the list of price regulated products will allow to the Agrarian Fund of Ukraine to purchase 166.000 tonnes of oilseed and support Ukrainian agrarians.
