President gives c.bank several days

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko gave the central bank several days to stabilize the currency exchange policy, otherwise he will make tough decisions.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, President’s Press Secretary Iryna Vannikova claimed this to journalists on Monday.

She stressed that the President is not satisfied with the c.bank leadership activities in the sphere of currency exchange policy.

In his opinion, the hryvnia depreciated due to a psychological aspect, which caused a roaring demand for foreign currency, only partly.

According to Victor Yushchenko, large-scale currency speculations and fictitious import operations were the main reason of the currency exchange rate instability in Ukraine.
