The Kyivenerho energy distribution company says it was forced to  start cutting hot water supplies to more than half of administrative buildings and residential houses in Kyiv due to the debts of the Kyiv city state administration for compensation of the difference in gas tariffs, the press service of the company told this to UNIAN.

According to Kyivenerho technical director Yuri Hladyshev, this step is the only opportunity to “save the minimal level of heating for Kyiv residents. If Kyivenerho does not cut hot water supplies, the heat power plants equipment will break down. The electric power, heat, and hot water supplies in Kyiv depends namely on this equipment”, Hladyshev specified.

According to the information of the press-service, the supplies will be cut to zone serviced by the heat power plant No.6: housing estates Troeschyna, Lisovyi, Obolon, Kurenivka, Vynohradar, Podil (over 2000 residential houses, more than 100 medical institutions, 159 kindergartens, 125 schools, 1,393 administrative buildings and other institutions).
