Another 60-62 people may be trapped under rubble in Yevpatoriya
A source from Emergency Situations Ministry disclosed to UNIAN
60-62 people may be trapped under rubble after an explosion tore through an apartment building in southern Ukraine.
An official of the Emergency Situations Ministry’s Crimean Directorate has disclosed this to UNIAN.
According to the information of the source, 20 people have been rescued, five of them have been hospitalized.
Minister of Emergency Situations of Ukraine Volodymyr Shandra has already carried out a session in Yevpatoriya. Military rescuers continue a search for survivors.
As UNIAN reported earlier, at least eleven people, including a child, have died after an explosion tore through an apartment building in southern Ukraine. Emergency Situations Ministry spokesman Igor Krol says the Wednesday evening blast leveled part of the five-floor building in the city of Yevpatoriya, a Crimea peninsula resort. Krol said Thursday a gas leak was the suspected cause, and 35 apartments were destroyed.
