Gas supplies from Russia to the Czech Republic via Ukraine remained halted on Thursday, the country`s main supplier said, Reuters reported. "Deliveries of natural gas via Ukraine are completely stopped," said RWE Transgas (RWEG.DE) spokesman Martin Chalupsky, adding the company had not received any indication when the flow from Russia could start again.
The Czech Republic has been tapping storage reserves and importing gas through an alternative pipeline.
Chalupsky said capacity through the alternative route was at what he called "extreme levels".
